PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generator, which is multipurpose and whose output is optionally variable. SOLUTION: This power generator is equipped with an AC generator 1 which is rotated by a DC motor 2, a field circuit 4 which supplies the AC generator with a field current from a battery, a switch 7 which switches on and off the line between the field circuit and the AC generator, a switch 6 which switches on and off the line between the output of the AC generator and the DC motor, a circuit which converts the output of the AC generator into a DC current where the polarity is inverted alternately and a fixed-polarity current, an electromagnetic drive piston, where a mobile iron core and a coil wound on the very mobile coil and a fixed iron core and a coil wound on the very fixed iron core are counterposed and which conducts rectilinear reciprocative motion, with the above mobile iron core and the above fixed iron core repeating the repulsion and attraction by the DC current, where the above polarity is inverted alternately, being supplied to the coil of the above mobile iron core and the current, where the above polarity is fixed, being supplied to the coil of the fixed iron core, and a crankshaft.
