PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved clutch for a spur gear transmission in which optimum conditions are applied therein in connection with a sliding property between a synchronized sleeve and synchronized hub, and engagement between the synchronized sleeve and a connecting body. SOLUTION: The clutch (75) comprises the synchronized hub (40) having an outer tooth row (44), the synchronized sleeve (10) having an internal tooth row (14) engaged with the outer tooth row (44), and the connecting body (80) which is capable of fixing on a change gear and provides an outer tooth row (82) in which the internal tooth row (14) is pushed. The internal tooth row (14) has a tooth (18) with a slant recessed portion which is engaged with an outer tooth row (82) of the connecting body (80) and is also not engaged with the outer tooth row (44) of the hub (40), and also has a tooth (16) without the slant recessed portion which is connected with the outer tooth row (44) of the hub (40). The teeth (16 and 18) are distributed to and arranged on the whole circumference of a sleeve (10). COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
