PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of the superconducting characteristic of a superconducting member in which an oxide superconducting thin film provided on an oxide substrate and a metallic wire rod or an oxide superconducting wire rod are connected to each other or the deterioration of the connection between the thin film and wire rod by thermal cycles and, in addition, to reduce the resistance of the connection. SOLUTION: The superconducting member has the oxide superconducting thin film (2) provided on the oxide substrate (1), an electrode provided on the thin film (2) and constituted by laminating an Au layer (6) and an Ag layer (7) upon another, and the wire rod (5) connected to the thin film (2). The member also has solder (4) which connects the wire rod (5) to the electrode and contains In, an InAg alloy, Sn, or an SnAg alloy. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
