摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the stable combustion even in the case of circulating a large quantity of the exhaust by stratifying the fresh air and the circulated exhaust in a combustion chamber. SOLUTION: This engine control device is provided with at least two separate intake ports 14a and 14b connected to the combustion chamber 15, two intake valves 12a and 12b, and two exhaust valves 13a and 13b. Inside of the second intake port 14b is partitioned into an upper and a lower flow passages 22a and 22b with a partition in relation to the first intake port 14a, and the second intake port 14a is provided with a second intake control valve 26 to open/close the upper and the lower flow passages 22a and 22b. In the downstream side of the second intake control valve 26, a circulation port 37 of an exhaust circulation passage 33 is connected to any one of the upper and the lower flow passages 22a and 22b.
