PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a camera and to improve its portability by realizing the effective use of the space of a finder optical system at the time of carrying the camera. SOLUTION: A finder optical system for observing a subject is constituted of a plurality of reflection surfaces (150, 160, 170, 180 and 190) and lens groups (200 and 220), and a built-in stroboscope 440 is housed between a pair of reflection surfaces 150 and 160 oppositely arranged obliquely upward in front of the camera so that it can move along in an inclination direction, and the stroboscope 440 is projected from a camera main body when it is used.
