PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condenser having an excellent condensing efficiency and hard to be damaged. SOLUTION: A distribution box 3 having a V-cross section is disposed in a shell 1 having refrigerant inlets 2 provided at the longitudinal both ends thereof. An impact plate 31 and a demister 35 are installed in the distribution box 3. Refrigerant gas led from the inlets 2 is decelerated by the impact plate 31 and directionally changed to be distributed to the longitudinal inner side of the distribution box 3. The refrigerant gas pressurized to a specified pressure in the distribution box 3 is passed through the demister 35 to filtrate refrigerating machine oil, and then uniformly flows out from the communication port 4 of the distribution box 3 to the other inner portion of the shell 1 in longitudinal direction. Since the refrigerant gas uniformly comes into contact with a heat transfer tube 6 in the shell 1 without deviating in longitudinal direction, the condensing efficiency of the refrigerant gas can be increased.
