FIELD: metal processing.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for production of hollow spherical forgings like large-size bearing rings. Initial billet is produced with spherical outer surface by rolling of hollow cylindrical billet over outer surface on cylindrical mandrel. Then obtained billet is rolled out by striker with spherical cutout on barrel-shaped mandrel. At that, during rolling process mandrel is replaced with increase in barrel-shaped surface dimensions.EFFECT: result is enabling possibility of producing different cross-section forged pieces, close in shape and size to finished parts.1 cl, 4 dwg
