PRODUCTION OF COMBINED FILAMENT YARN OF DIFFERENT SHRINKAGE HAVING EXCELLENT BULKINESS

PURPOSE: A method of making a combined filament yarn of different shrinkage improved in different shrinkage properties by combining an effect yarn provided with low shrinkage and self-extensible property and a core yarn as a highly shrinkable yarn and then subjecting to heat treatment is provided. The product has excellent bulk. CONSTITUTION: The combined filament yarn of different shrinkage is prepared by texturing a core yarn comprising a highly shrinkable yarn and an effect yarn comprising a lowly shrinkable yarn at the same time in a fluid treating apparatus. The effect yarn is a polyester yarn obtained by spinning at a speed of 1,900 to 4,500m/min and then subjecting an undrawn yarn having a birefringence rate(Δn) of 20x10¬-3 to 110x10¬-3 to heat treatment. The core yarn is a highly shrinkable polyester yarn copolymerized with isophthalic acid as a highly shrinkable component in a mole ratio of 8 to 15%.
