The invention relates to a stretcher with expandable arms especially meant for the transport of the ill or injured persons in narrow spaces. According to the invention, the stretcher with expandable arms comprises two tubular cross-arms (1) having a fix handle (5) fastened by screwing at each end, and wherein two pairs of independent expandable arms (6) slide by using some friction members (12), at the end of each expandable arm (6) there being a mobile handle (8), the expandable arms (6) being locked at the required lenghth by means of some chucks (9) pressing some profiled jaws (10) in some circular grooves (7) cut in the expandable arms (6), while, in order to prevent the expandable arms (6) from getting out of the tubular cross-arms (1), a safety ring (11) is mounted at each inner end of the expandable arms (6).
