PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To light a brake lamp without delay while preventing unnecessary lighting by controlling the lighting of the brake lamp based on both of target deceleration and actual deceleration of a vehicle.
SOLUTION: Determinations are made as to whether decelerating control by automatic braking is under way or not (S120), whether the target deceleration Gxbt is larger than a reference value G1 or not (S140), and whether the deceleration Gxb of the vehicle is larger than a reference value G2 (<G1) or not (S150). When the target deceleration Gxbt is determined to be larger than the reference value G1 and the deceleration Gxb of the vehicle to be larger than the reference value G2, the brake lamp 32 is lit or maintained in a lighting state (S160). When the decelerating control by the automatic braking is not under way, when the target deceleration Gxbt is not more than the reference value G1, or when the deceleration Gxb of the vehicle is not more than the reference value G2, the brake lamp 32 in the lighting state is put out when a reference time T1 lapses after the brake lamp 32 is lit (S170, 180).
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
|
