PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system that shortens a communication interruption time or causes no interruption at the time of setting change and connects different virtual networks.SOLUTION: Gateways 200a-b for connecting a first virtual network capable of handling multicast addresses and a second virtual network not capable of handling multicast addresses manage correspondence among a first virtual network identifier, a second virtual network identifier, and a multicast address allocated to the first virtual network identifier, converts a BUM (Broadcast/Unknown_Unicast/Multicast) frame in the second virtual network into a corresponding multicast packet in the first virtual network, and converts the multicast packet in the first virtual network into a corresponding packet in the second virtual network. A network management device 100 monitors an allocation process by a virtualization environment manager device 800, and notifies the gateways of changed contents if there is a change in allocation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
