PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for internal combustion engine in which insulation between the secondary conductors can be improved, while suppressing the up-sizing and cost increase.SOLUTION: An ignition coil for internal combustion engine has a primary coil and a secondary coil coupled each other electromagnetically. The secondary coil is formed by winding a secondary conductor 30 consisting of a conductive core wire 4, and an insulating coating 5 for covering the core wire 4. The secondary conductor 30 has a high voltage side part 31 on the side close to a spark plug (not shown), and a low voltage side part 32 farther from the spark plug than the high voltage side part 31. The withstand voltage of the coating 5 is higher in the high voltage side part 31 than in the low voltage side part 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
