PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge capable of improving its production efficiency. SOLUTION: The tape cartridge is provided with a case main body 2 with a tape lead-out hole on the side wall, a single tape reel, a door member 4 for closing the hole which is openable by sliding along the side wall of the case main body 2, and a spring 5 for energizing the door member 4 toward a close position where the tape hole is closed. In a lower case 12, a side plate 15b forming the side wall 15b and a partition 17a erected to be faced to the side plate 15b form a guide groove 18a allowing the door 4 to be slidable between the open and close positions of the tape hole, and the partition 17a is formed so that the part faced to a coil part 31 of the spring 5 attached in the guide groove 18a is formed 20% to 70% higher than the side plate 15b in height.
