PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a cogeneration system over a long period of time without stopping by suppressing application of an overvoltage to an inverter.

SOLUTION: A controller 110 measures the r.p.m. of a gas engine 13 or a generator 14, the increasing rate of r.p.m., and the output voltage of the generator 14 or the increasing rate thereof and limits the quantity of an input current to a power converter or interrupts the input current.
