In the present invention, a color gamma processing unit 12 applies color gamma correction to an input image for each pixel. A GSDF processing unit 14 applies monochromatic gamma correction to an input image for each pixel. A mixing unit 26 mixes, using a mix ratio based on the saturation value for each pixel of an input image, the color gamma correction value used by the color gamma processing unit 12 with the monochromatic gamma correction value used by the GSDF processing unit 14, and outputs a gamma correction value for pixels of an input image. |
