<p>PURPOSE: A display device is provided to improve the brightness of the entire screen using the entire optical quantity of a light source. CONSTITUTION: A lamp(1) generates light. An additional light source unit having an LED(Light Emitting Diode)(15) and an optical waveguiding mirror(14) emits a color in which optical quantity is relatively insufficient to the other optical quantity among light sources emitted from the lamp, and synthesizes the color with light transmitted from a red filter(2) and a blue filter(4). Red, green and blue LCDs(Liquid Crystal Displays)(7-9) display an image by the light synthesized in the additional light source unit and the light emitted from the lamp.</p> |
