PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of efficiently detecting the remaining quantity and aroma intensity of an aromatic and making notification of the detection results.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: aroma generation means which contains a volatile agent therein and is disposed in the apparatus body; and display means which includes a display part for displaying the remaining quantity and/or aroma intensity of the volatile agent. The display means displays on the display part the remaining quantity and/or aroma intensity of the volatile agent by an icon or character information in a selectable display mode. The display means includes display mode changing means for changing the display mode of the selected icon when an icon is selected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
