The invention relates to devices for ultrasonic cavitation disintegration of liquid mediums, i.e. for destroying and dividing into parts any substances, including microscopic living forms existing in the form of suspension phases in said substances and for dissociating said mediums and can be used for the food, chemical, mining, pharmaceutical, medical and perfume industries. The inventive cavitation reactor for treating liquid flow comprises a resonance cell in which a standing acoustic wave is set up during operation, is characterised in that a flat diaphragm is arranged inside said reactor on a plane which is parallel to the vibration displacements of the resonance cell walls, said diaphragm is provided with a hole for restricting the cross section of a liquid flow and made of material whose erosion resistance is equal to or greater than the erosion resistance of resonance cell wall material, the shape and size of the holes thereof are selected in such a way that the cavitation energy density on the hole plane is greater than the maximum value thereof on the resonance cell walls. |
