摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for manufacturing a liquid ejection head having uniform accuracy by suppressing plastic fluidity occurring in a material plate thereby enhancing durability of a die, and to provide a liquid ejection head obtained by that process. SOLUTION: In the process for manufacturing a liquid ejection head 1 comprising a pressure generating chamber forming plate 30 provided with a large number of grooves 33 becoming pressure generating chambers 29, a sealing plate 32 of the pressure generating chambers 29, a pressure generating element 10 for pressurizing liquid, and a nozzle plate 31 provided with nozzle openings 48, plastic fluid of a material plate 55 occurring in the array direction of protrusions 53 when the protrusions are pressed by the material plate 55 is suppressed by means of suppressing members 65 and 66 provided in a first die 51 and/or a second die 52. Since plastic fluid is suppressed and a force in the array direction of protrusions does not act on the forward end part of the protrusions 53, the protrusions 53 can be protected against breakage.
