PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small size and low price pico-second laser which may be directly varied in wavelength at the ultraviolet ray region, and also to provide an analyzer using the same pico-second laser. SOLUTION: The analyzer uses the pico-second laser which is formed as a distribution feedback type dye laser which can generate the laser beam by superimposing the±primary diffracted light beam on a dye cell and resistive to the energy of 1mJ or more. In addition, the same pico-second laser includes a blaze-free transparent type diffraction grating in which≥100 stripes/mm (pitch:≤10μm) of a metal thin film are formed on a quartz plate with a lithography process.
