<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector and a projection system capable of conforming a projected image to a coordinate system of a physical pointer. <P>SOLUTION: The projector performs coordinate conversion for a photographed image when obtaining the coordinates of the physical pointer from the photographed image by preparing a coordinate conversion means, obtains the coordinates on an original picture signal before compensation of distortion, and displays a cursor in a right position indicated on the projected image by a luminescent spot.
