<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the visibility in confirmation of a level change of drain water collected in a groove part of a drain pan in a celling embedded air conditioner. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner 1, that is a ceiling embedded type air conditioner, comprises a casing 2 arranged in the space under the roof of an air conditioning chamber, a decorative panel 3 arranged on the lower side of the casing 2 and having a suction port 31 and four blowout ports 32a-32d, a heat exchanger 6 arranged within the casing 2 and performing heat exchange with the air sucked into the casing 2 through the suction port 31, the drain pan 7, and a drain pump 8. The drain pan 7 is attached to the lower part of the casing 2, and comprises a drain water receiving groove 73 for receiving the drain water generated in the heat exchanger 6 and a translucent part 81 in which at least a part of the outer side wall 78 of the drain water receiving groove 73 is made transparent or translucent.
