WASTE WATER TREATMENT UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treatment unit by which nitrogen in waste water can be removed at a low cost by a biological treating method without changing the structure of an existing aerobic treatment tank.

SOLUTION: This waste water treatment unit has at least a main body at least a part of the sidewall surface of which is formed from an immobilizing material having water permeability and capable of immobilizing an aerobic bacterium and an anaerobic bacterium and which is used in such a state that the main body is immersed in the aerobic treatment tank and has a vessel-like shape. The specific gravity of the main body is≤1 as a whole.
