PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an inkjet recording apparatus having no possibility of sticking air bubbles on a wiper blade for wiping ink on a nozzle face of an inkjet recording head. SOLUTION: On the terminal end part on the downstream side of a moving path of the wiper blade 207 in a cassette 230 for cleaning, the first absorbent member 231 formed into a sponge-like shape and for absorbing ink stuck on the wiper blade 207 is fixed on a front wall 230E. A space is formed above the first absorbent member 231, and when the wiper blade 207 is brought into face contact with the first absorbent member 231, an apex part 207A of the wiper blade 207 is not brought into contact with the first absorbent member 231.
