摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet discharge apparatus and a liquid droplet discharge method by which a liquid to be discarded can considerably be reduced and the discharging liquid is more efficiently utilized as compared with a method for restoring the clogging of a nozzle of a head by suction cleaning conventionally carried out;a production method for an electrooptical apparatus; an electrooptical apparatus; and an electronic appliance. SOLUTION: The liquid droplet discharge apparatus 10 is for discharging liquid droplets to a work and comprises a head 11 having a plurality of nozzles 81 for discharging liquid droplets of a supplied liquid; a suction means for sealing the nozzle faces 70 of the head 11 and sucking the nozzles; and a control part 200 for carrying out discharge of the liquid droplets to the suction means from the nozzles 81 after sealing the nozzle faces 70 by the suction means and humidifying the nozzle faces 70 while keeping the nozzle faces 70 being sealed by the suction means when the number of the clogged nozzles exceeds a prescribed number.
