PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of the efficiency of program selection by displaying a designated child screen out of a multi-screen by a size corresponding to a time interval during which it has been designated. SOLUTION: This equipment is equipped with a designated child screen specifying portion 11 for specifying a child screen specified by a viewer out of a multi-screen, a timer 12 which counts a designation time interval and outputs designation time data every designated time interval, a child screen size storage 14 for storing the ratio of the size of each child screen, a child screen size determination portion 13 for determining the ratio of the size of each child screen on the basis of the designation time interval counted by the timer 12 and the ratio of the size of each child screen stored in the storage 14, and a multi-screen forming portion 16 for forming a multi-screen on the basis of the ratio of the size of each child screen determined by the determination portion 13.
