PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adopt a mechanical structure of a stator which improves resistance to vibration and resistance to noise, control the generation of cogging caused by loss-torque fluctuations of an electric motor from the viewpoint of the mechanical structure, and obtain excellent low-noise characteristics by reducing oscillation and noise caused by cogging torque. SOLUTION: An electric power steering device is provided with a brushless motor as the electric motor, and the brushless motor is provided with a rotor and the stator 34. The stator 34 is provided with a back core BY, a plurality of teeth TS, and a coil 38 for excitation. The plurality of teeth, which are provided projecting from the back core BY toward the center in the radial direction, are arranged along the circumference of the back core so that slots SL are formed between the teeth. Then the coil 38 for excitation is wrapped around each of the plurality of teeth TS. Each of the plurality of slots SL is molded with a resinoid material. Then the back core BY is pressured and inserted to a yoke 21 so that the outer peripheral surface of the back core BY and the inner peripheral surface of the yoke 21 partially come into contact with each other in the circumference.
