摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic field control active damper for achieving a further smaller size while adopting a longitudinal drive system to easily produce a strong or weak magnetic filed between a magnetic field existing condition and a magnetic field non-existing condition, and to provide a disc recording medium regenerating device. SOLUTION: The magnetic field control active damper comprises a damper 7 having viscous fluid containing magnetic particles sealed in a cylindrical sealed container, a movable bracket 21 mounted with magnets 9, 10, a magnetic shield 22, a shaft cover 23, a ultrasonic motor 24, and a fixing plate 25. The movable bracket 21 mounted with the magnets 9, 10 is driven by the ultrasonic motor 24 to move close to or apart from the damper 7 along the direction of the face of the fixing plate 25. The whole regenerating device therefore achieves a further smaller size without the need for moving the magnets in the direction of the cylindrical shaft of the damper 7 as in a conventional example.
