PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens which comprises a compact lens system as a whole, has a wide view angle, and easily provides superior optical performance over an entire zoom range, and to provide an image capturing device having the same.SOLUTION: A zoom lens comprises first, second, and third lens groups having negative, positive, and positive refractive power, respectively, in order from the object side to the image side. nF represents a refractive index of a material at a wavelength of 486.13 nm, nd represents a refractive index of the material at a wavelength of 587.6 nm, nC represents a refractive index of the material at a wavelength of 656.27 nm, and nt represents a refractive index of the material at a wavelength of 1013.98 nm. The second lens group includes a positive lens. An Abbe number νdA and a partial dispersion ratio θCtA of a material of the positive lens of the second lens group, a focal length f1 of the first lens group, and a focal length f2 of the second lens group are each set appropriately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
