1334348 Pyrazolyl-benzimidazoles BAYER AG 16 June 1972 [18 June 1971] 28341/72 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] 1 - n - Butyl - 2 - [pyrazolyl - (11)] - benzimidazole is prepared by heating n-butyl bromide with the reaction product of 2-[pyrazolyl-(1<SP>1</SP>)]-benzimidazole and sodium methylate. 2 - [Pyrazolyl - (1<SP>1</SP>)] - 5 - n - butylbenzimidazole is prepared by reacting 5-n-butylbenzimidazole- 2-sulphonic acid with hydrazine hydrate to form 2 - hydrazino - 5 - n - butylbenzimidazole which is then heated in hydrochloric acid + methanol + 1,1,3,3-tetramethoxypropane. 1 - methoxycarbonyl - 2 - [pyrazolyl - (1<SP>1</SP>)]- benzimidazole is prepared by heating chloroformic acid methyl ester with the reaction product of 2-[pyrazolyl- (1<SP>1</SP>)]-benzimidazole and sodium methylate. |
