<p>Insecticides and acaricides are of formula: where X=O or S; Y=alkyl(C1-C5), phenyl, benzyl; R'=alkyl (C1-C3) or the group OR3 where R3 is alkyl (C1-C3); R2=alkyl (C1-C3); A typical cpd. where R'=OET, R2=Et; R3=Me, X=S was as active at 10 mu g/ml against Tetranychus urticae on bean leaves as 25 mu g/ml of dicofol. Prepd. by treating an S-aminocarbonylthiomethyl derivative of a phosphorus acid with an oxalyl halide to give an isocyanato deriv. which is cnverted into the required cpd. by reaction with an alkyl mercaptan.</p> |
