<p>1360242 Built detergent compositions UNILEVER Ltd 16 March 1972 [17 March 1971] 7091/71 Heading C5D A built detergent composition comprises (A) 10 to 35% by wt. of a detergent which itself consists of (a) 0 to 100% of an alkyl ether sulphate surfactant and/or an olefin sulphonate surfactant; (2) 0 to 80% of an alkyl benzene sulphonate surfactant and/or alkyl sulphate surfactant and (3) 0 to 60% of a non-ionic surfactant, with the proviso that at least 80% by wt of the detergent consists of surfactants (1), (2) and/or (3); and (B) 30 to 60% by wt. of an alkali metal silicate of alkalinity such that an aqueous solution containing 0À1% wt. of the detergent composition has a pH of not less than about 9. The sodium silicate has a Na 2 O : SiO 2 wt. ratio of 2 : 1 to 1 : 3. Optional ingredients are (C) up to 10% of an organic or inorganic builder, (D) alkanolamides, (E) oxygen- or chlorine-releasing bleaches, (F) other conventional additives. Preferred non-ionics are ethoxylated C 10 -C 15 aliphatic alcohols containing 5 to 15 ethylene oxide units.</p> |
