Air is supplied to a room 8 by means 6, which comprises one or more slots 11 in which a movable body 12 is mounted between the two slot edges 13, the body 12 causing the air to pass over the surface of the plate 5 and into the room. Air is exhausted from the room into the casing 2 through a slot (10) extending along one edge of the plate. This air cools the fluorescent tubes 4 before passing into the exhaust ducts of the ventilating system. |
