摘要 The purpose of the present invention is to provide a gap adjustment method for an inkjet apparatus and an inkjet apparatus such that a simple configuration can be provided and convenience can be improved. The gap adjustment method for an inkjet apparatus is provided with: a head unit with ink discharge ports from which ink is discharged; a carriage on which the head is provided and which moves in the main scanning direction; a print medium provided with a gap from the ink discharge ports; and a gap-driving unit for adjusting the length of the gap. The gap adjustment method comprises a discharging step (Step ST4) and gap-adjusting steps (Step ST5-Step ST56). In the discharging step (Step ST4), ink is discharged in both the outgoing and return trips while the carriage is moved reciprocally in the main scanning direction. In the gap-adjusting steps, the outgoing trip landing position and return trip landing position are compared with pre-determined optimal landing positions and the length of the gap is adjusted by the gap-driving unit.
