1300113 Rear lamps for vehicles ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 4 March 1970 [5 March 1969] 10318/70 Heading F4R A multiple lamp unit for the rear of a motor vehicle consists of a number of separate compartments containing lamps for different purposes, e.g. direction indicator lamps, reversing lamps, stop lamps and tail lamps, one compartment containing a dual filament bulb having a first filament which serves as a normal tail lamp and a second higher powered filament which serves as a tail lamp for use in fog. The second filament is located at the focus of a parabolic reflector and the first filament is disposed above and/or in front of the second filament so that the normal tail lamp beam is directed downwardly or diverges. In the latter case the lower half of the reflector may be omitted or blackened. |
