The attachment (10) is circular, the same size as the polishing pad. It fits on, and is rotated by, the same stub shaft. The casing has a flat exterior top surface (12) and side walls (14). Inside is a central boss (16) with a projection (18) on the end forming a location for the bottom cover (58). Two cylindrical brushes (46, 52) are fitted inside the casing, 180 deg. apart. the spindle (48, 54) of each brush has end caps (38, 40; 42, 44) which locate in recesses (30, 32; 34, 36) in side walls and boss. Corresponding apertures (66, 68) in the bottom cover allow the brush bristles (50, 56) to protrude; each aperture having inner flanges (70, 72) to remove and retain dust. |
