<p>The joint has two forks and a spider pivoting in the arms of both on axes perpendicular to the fork rotation axes when these are not inclined to each other. To hold the spider bushes in position in the fork arms the arms of a clip bear against a face and against the bush, having a self-locking action under load, and thus locating the bush in the axial direct on along the spider pivot axis. The face can be inclined, the clip arm acting against it to produce a wedging action between it and the end of the bush. The clip can be a spring component with two arms running parallel to each other and joined by an intermediate portion tending to spread apart.</p> |
