The collector incorporates a flat rectangular absorption plate, while water is used as the heat transfer medium. It is in the form of a flat hollow body washed by water, the absorption plate forming one panel. At opposite ends there are orifices with the same dimensions at regular intervals and connecting the water chamber of the hollow body with joining passages mounted on it. The section of these passages is at least as great as the sum of that of the orifices communicating with them. There can be one or more rectangular guide bars for water circulation in the hollow body and connecting the top and bottom, ending clear of the ends incorporating the orifices.
