By filtering, through an ultrafiltration membrane of a 600-2000 fraction molecular weight, an aqueous sugar solution obtained by hydrolyzing a cellulose-containing biomass, removing fermentation inhibitors on the permeated side and recovering the sugar solution from the un-permeated side, this method is capable of manufacturing a sugar solution with an extremely low amount of fermentation inhibitors. |
