1430354 Dryer combined with liquid treatment chamber BRUCKNER APPARTEBAU GmbH 13 June 1974 [26 July 1973] 26210/74 Heading D1L Dryer, for textile webs, has a liq. treatment chamber built into or onto it, the treatment chamber being thermally insulated from the dryer. The dryer housing 7 (see Fig. 1) has a built-in liq. treatment chamber 6. The chamber 1 has an inlet seal 10, comprising a roller 13 and two sealing lips 14, 15, and a padding roller 9 dipping into vat 8. A deflector roller 11 is provided to vary the amount of contact between the web 3 and the roller 9. The liq. treatment can be dispensed with by moving the deflector roller 11 to the dotted position shown so that the web is removed from roller 9. The treatment chamber has insulated walls 6a, 6b, and an access part 17. The dryer chamber 2 has a conveyor belt 4 for transporting the web 3 between the rows of dryers 5. Alternatively, as in Fig. 2 (not shown), the treatment chamber (1') may be placed on top of the dryer housing (7'), the chamber (1') being supported on feet (18). In a further alternative in Fig. 3 (not shown) the conveying member is a perforated drum (19).
