A NOx reduction catalyst is described. The catalyst consists of ruthenium interacting with a support of either zirconium titanate, titania or mixtures thereof. The new catalyst results in a stabilized ruthenium catalyst that is resistant to both ruthenium volatilization loss and ruthenium sintering.
