Collision detection for a vehicle

摘要

The detector i.e. obstacle deflector (1), has a sensor (6) for generating collision signal by relative motion between a collision beam (4), arms (5) and a mounting bracket (2). The beam and the arms are connected with the bracket by a guiding unit (7) and held in an initial position relative to the bracket by a fixing unit (8) that is designed such that predetermined collision force on one of the beam and arms is exceeded. The fixing unit releases the beam and the arms during collision such that the beam and the arms are guidably moved from the initial position through the guiding unit. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a vehicle (2) a method for operating a vehicle.
