<p>The double foot pedal allows the bass drum to be struck by two hammers (40, 41) operated by respective articulated foot plates, either independently or at the same time. The foot pedal comprises two widely spaced foot plates (10d, 10g) one of which has direct transmission means for actuating the associated pivoted hammer and the other of which has indirect transmission means, employing a cardan linkage, for actuating the second pivoted hammer. Pref. each of the foot plates (10d, 10g) is adjustable by means of a positioning plate and the hammers (40, 41) are pivoted via cog wheels actuated by the drive chains fixed to the foot plates (10d, 10g).</p> |
