Machine automatically assembles lamp base parts - with chain feed moving components and plates and stems heated before adding electrodes

The production machine, for mounting the base parts of lamps (e.g. plates, stems, electrodes), passes the various base parts one after another into the work head of a chain feed and heats the parts whilst simultaneously blowing and cooling. The plates and stems are heated in the work head (4) of the conveyor (3) before the electrodes are added. The plates and stems are heated to a temperature approaching the softening point of the base components. The advantage lies in reducing the size of the machine and increasing its output.
