The correction portion may comprise a transparent polymeric backing 20, carrying a paper layer 26 on which the correction material 26 is coated. The paper layer 26 is narrower than the backing 20 to leave a gap 34 to prevent the ribbon guides from scraping off the material 26, and a gap 36 to prevent migration of ink from portion 14 into the correction material 26.</p> |
