<p>1422690 Continuous foam moulding MASCHINENFABRIK HENNECKE GmbH 22 June 1973 [24 June 1972] 29732/73 Heading B5A Apparatus for continuous production of foam blocks comprises an elongate conveying surface comprising a zone for application of foamable reaction mixture, and a zone for the foaming operation, at least the latter being a continuous, drivable conveyer belt having lateral boundaries, at least one station to supply a cover sheet and means to apply the sheet to the application zone before the point of application of the reaction mixture, an applicator to apply reaction mixture to the application zone, and means to adjust the angle of inclinaof the application zone to the foaming zone. The reaction mixture may be a polyurethane. As shown in Fig. 1, the apparatus comprises an application zone 1 and a foaming zone 2 formed by a conveyer belt 3 on rollers 4, 5, driven at 6. The conveyer, which comprises plates having rollers (11, Fig. 2, not shown) thereon is guided by I-rails 8, 9, pivotally connected at 12 and by rollers 13. Inclination of zone 1 is adjusted by hydraulic cylinder 16 acting on frame 15. A cover sheet 18, e.g. of paper is supplied from reel 17 by contact roller 19 driven by belt 3. Reaction mixture is applied by means 20 to form block 21 between lateral boundaries 22. In Fig. 3 (not shown), application zone (31) comprises a plate (33) and cover sheet (45) is fed by roller (43) driven by motor (44).</p> |
