Clamping terminal for insulated wire connection - has slotted spring with plastics strip whose sides both carry wire clamps

The insulated wires are connected in a clamping slot. The terminal has a spring (1) whose fork-shaped slot (5) is formed by resilient tongues (2, 3). The slot is provided with a plastics strip (6) in such manner that on its each side a wire (7) can be clamped between the strip and the tongues. Preferably several springs can be accommodated in chambers of an assembly strip, the plastics strip of the clamp forming a part of the assembly strip. The fork-shaped slot may be so dimensioned as to form a prestress between the tongues and plastics strip during insertion of the springs into the chambers.
