PURPOSE:To permit proper pushing by sending burnishing roller by driving DC motor and at the same time by controlling the armature current of motor. CONSTITUTION:When the control circuit 27 is waked up under the rotating condition of the work 20 supported through the center 19 and the chuck 18, the DC servo-motor 13 is rotated at a speed corresponding to a quick-feeding speed set in the speed changeover control circuit 23 according to a predetermined sequence, and thus the roller 17 goes forward at quick feeding speed and then controlled its speed 23 to come into contact with the work 20 so that it pushes the work 20. When the roller is pushed against the work 20, a nearly short-circuit current flows in the armature of the DC servo-motor 13. However, because the armature current upon pressing is limited to a current value corresponding to a contact stress set in advance by the current limiter 26, the roller 17 rotates with the work 20 in a state with the constant contact stress. |
