PURPOSE:To enhance O3 generation efficiency by contacting NOx, to sulfuric acid, formed as by-products in generation of O3 by silent discharge of a N2-contg. gas such as air to efficiently remove the NOx. CONSTITUTION:An O3-contg. gas generated by silent discharge of air as raw material in an ozonizer is contacted to sulfuric acid to absorption remove trace amts. of by-products NOx contained in the gas. By this method NOx creating many troubles are removed ih a dry process without decomposing O3. By installing a sulfuric acid contact part among a plurality of ozonizers and passing the formed gas through the part, O3 generation efficiency is obtd. in nearly proportion to discharge power and O3 of high concn. can be produced at a low cost.
