PURPOSE:High temperature quality of blast furnace iron ore, sintered ore, etc is judged from the measurements, and the reslts are used to estimate the drafting ability of each material at fuse-deposit zone in the furnace so that these ores can be mixed properly. Thus, controlled draft condition and stabilized furnace operation are resulted. CONSTITUTION:In a measureing instrument, sample 2 such as iron ore, sinter ore is charged, with its top and bottom surface covered with coke. Simulating the temperature rise and load in the furnace, the instrument temperature is increased and load is exerted by using the pressure bar 5, while passing reducing gas from the inlet. The pressure head change of the reducing gas 4 provides the draft variation during reducing process to the final stage of sample melting. Such change of pressure is used with the temperature range during the reducing process to indicate a high temperature property of ore. The measurements are repeated for each material, and each value is used to mix ores and sinter ores so as to provide an adequate value. Thus, normal draft condition and stabilized operation can be maintained without the need of condition chages in draft and material distribution. |
